The download counter at SpreadFirefox.com has crossed the three hundred million marker. The counter signifies the number of times the free web browser has been downloaded since its 1.0 release on 2004 November 9.
The download number does not equate to actual Firefox users, since anyone can download the software multiple times, but it does show that the little-browser-that-could continues to a strong challenger to Internet Explorer’s dominance.
