This is really disturbing. Some German zoologists want to kill Knut, a polar bear cub who lives at the Berlin Zoo, because he has become too dependent on the human zoo keepers. After his birth, Knut’s mother rejected him and left him to die. Keepers saved the cub by putting him in an incubator and feeding him every half hour.
But some believe that Knut should have been killed following his mother’s rejection and still want to give him a lethal injection because he is too reliant on humans and will not “grow to be a proper polar bear.” One so-called campaigner of animal rights asserted, “Legally speaking, the zoo should kill the baby bear.”
