There is an interesting new study out that classifies alcohol and tobacco as actually being more harmful than drugs like Ecstasy, LSD, GHB, and Cannabis. The study, produced by a team of leading British scientists, was published in The Lancet medical journal.
The proposed drug classification system places controlled substances according to three factors: the physical harm done to the user, the tendency to induce dependence, and the effect on families and society.
