Sandy Berger Forfeits His Law License

Samuel Berger, the National Security Advisor during Bill Clinton’s second term in office, will voluntarily give up his license to practice law. Berger, who was caught taking highly classified documents from the National Archives in 2005, had plead guilty in the Justice Department investigation of him and was fined $50,000 and sentenced to one hundred hours of community service. He also lost his security clearance for three years, a small slap on the wrist for potentially compromising national security.
