Carter’s Remarks about Bush were “Careless”

Former President Jimmy Carter, who called President Bush’s foreign policy record “the worst in history,” is now saying his remarks were “careless or misinterpreted.” If he is leaving it up to us to decide which it is, my money is on careless.

Carter, who has a rather abysmal foreign policy record himself, said on the Today show that he “wasn’t comparing the overall administration and [he] was certainly not talking personally about any president.”

The ex-president and Nobel Peace Prize winner went on to say that he has “been very careful … not to criticize any president personally.” Uh, yeah. OK.

  1. […] Honestly, it is difficult for me to decide which ex-President is the bigger hypocrite: Clinton or Carter.
