Justine Henin Has Won Her Third Straight French Open Title

Belgian tennis star Justine Henin has defeated Serbian player Ana Ivanovic in straight sets (6–1, 6–2) to win this year’s French Open women’s singles title. This is Henin’s third consecutive championship at Roland Garros and her fourth overall (2003, 2005–2007). The one blemish on her French Open record is her loss to Tathiana Garbin in the second round in 2004 while Henin was struggling with some health problems.

Henin now holds the record for most consecutive matches won at Roland Garros (21); the previous record of 19 was held by her idol Steffi Graf.
