Actress Jane Wyman Has Died

A classy lady passed away today. Academy Award-winning actress Jane Wyman, who won an Oscar for her role as a deaf rape victim in the film Johnny Belinda in 1948, died at her home at the age of ninety. In addition to her many starring film roles during the golden age of Hollywood, soap fans of the 1980s will likely remember her as Angela Channing on Falcon Crest.

But Wyman will like be best remembered as the first Presidential ex-wife in American history. From 1940 to 1948, she was married to fellow actor Ronald Reagan, who would eventually become the governor of California and later, the President of the United States. During their eight-year marriage, the couple gave birth to two children, Maureen and Christine (who was premature and lived only one day), and a adopted a third, Michael Reagan, who is now a well-known conservative host on talk radio.
