New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson has ended his campaign run for the highest office in the land. Richardson has consistently polled a distant fourth behind the big three Democrats: Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and John Edwards.
The Democratic field is diminishing rapidly, which I feel is a good thing and not just because I don’t want any of these people running the country. The focus really should be on the candidates who actually stand a chance of becoming President. Still, I am a little surprised that Governor Richardson didn’t stick it out until Super Tuesday. I suppose that he realized that his getting the nomination was a long shot in a race against the “inevitable” Hillary Clinton and “rock star” Barack Obama.
Now that Richardson is out, I feel the need to ask again: when is Dennis Kucinich going to give up?
